Island Map Project

In Social Studies our 6th graders became cartographers. We created mythical Islands that shared our knowledge about maps including legends, compass rose directions, physical features and human features. Here are some excellent examples!

Ewww.... lunch!

What is the worst lunch you have ever had? How about a olive and crab bagel or a oyster and pickle sandwich with hot sauce? To practice our descriptive writing we had Ewww.... lunches. We poked and smelled but didn't eat it! ps. Mrs. Currie's mom used to pack her olive loaf---- ewww.... gross!
